EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
"GRŪDO KELIAS" (“The Grain Path”)
It is a sightseeing tour in an authentic 20th century homestead, during which you will see a collection of traditional household items and antique tillage implements,you will visit traditional forge and sauna buildings. In a huge barnbuilding there aresuch interesting items asan antique carriage that was carrying passengers through the streets of London, a steam-powered thresher, and other agricultural implements and tools.You will also visitthe only still operating windmill in Lithuania, built in 1924.
Halfway through the tour, you will head to a cozy main house, where you will learn how our ancestors baked traditional Lithuanian bread.You will be able to form your own loaf from the prepared dough and feel the delicious smell of freshly baked bread!Later you will participate in a tasting of homemade bread, locally-made beer, venison snacks, homemade cheese. If you are extra hungry, we also have some hot dishes with venison for you to offer. After the meal, you will visit our deer, fallow deer, mouflons, alpacas and other domestic animals.

Šiais laikais vaikų supratimas apie duonos atsiradimą ant stalo prasideda ir baigiasi išėjimu iki artimiausios parduotuvės ir jos nusipirkimu. Tad, retas, kuris susimąsto, kokį ilgą kelią, iš tiesų, duonelė turėjo nueiti iki kol pateko ne tik į parduotuvės lentyną, bet ir ant mūsų stalo. Kas geriausiai suprato, kokia brangi ir šventa yra duona, buvo mūsų seneliai ir proseneliai. Tad, išlaikę duonos kepimo tradicijas, kviečiame ne tik suaugusius, bet ir vaikus į duonos kepimo edukacinę programą „Grūdo kelias“.
*Ekskursiją būtina užsisakyti iš anksto, priimame grupes nuo 10 asm.

*A guided visit to the Technical Museum can be ordered for all educations, the price together with the Technical Museum ticket - 12Eur.
ADDITIONAL ENTERTAINMENT
"THE TURNING ON THE WINDMILL"
You will visit the only still operating windmill in Lithuania, built in 1924.You will get acquainted with the historical past of the mill and the principles of its operation. The mill has 5 storeys, so you will have an opportunity to admire exceptional views. The miller himself will tell and show how the grain aremilled. We are certain, that a spectacular sight when all the mechanisms are running and the 9-meter-long windmill wings start turning, will leave no one indifferent. Includes free admission to the Ethnographic Household Museum.
